The discipline is that of the “4-way RW” (relative work) . The team consists of 5 persons, 4 of them must create a predetermined sequence of figures in 35 seconds of free fall from the moment they leave the aircraft (at about 3300 m) to the moments preceding the opening of the parachute (about 1000 m above ground level). The fifth person, the videoman, shoots the team during the performance and his video will end up into the hands of the judges to be evaluated; the importance of videoman is decisive for the outcome, its error would defeat the whole performance.
The training for the Nationals (Italian Championship), that normally are organized during the summer, has been done during the winter season and managed by Luca Stanga, a coach of international experience.
The preparation for the 2013 season has been carried at the flight simulators of Manchester (UK), Prague (Czech Republic) and Empuriabrava (ES) and during the various sessions of launches at the Cremona Skydive.
The result is the achievement of the first place on the podium for the second time. Now the challenge is even more ambitious, next year the team will have access to the top category where they’ll be able to compete with the top team participating today at skydiving competitions around the world.
